Sergio is an accomplished executive with over two decades of experience in corporate strategy and policy development. His past tenures highlight his reputation as a forward-thinking leader and innovator, distinguished by a proven track record. Serving as Chairman, CEO, and Director of the Scientific Committee for the Republic of San Marino Innovation Institute, he had the privilege of developing San Marino’s national innovation and digital strategy, including the “San Marino Blockchain” legislation, which was passed in Parliament on June 6, 2019. His work with high-profile institutions such as the OECD, IMF, MISE and diplomatic figures, including the President of Albania, the US Consul General in Florence, and the Ambassador of Israel in Rome, further showcases his strength in strategic and international relations. Among many of his accomplishments, he is immensely proud of the ‘Memoranda of Understanding’ together with DNV GL Business Assurance Group and VeChain Foundation for the “Low Carbon Ecosystem Project,” which exemplifies the virtue of public and private sectors collaborating to foster innovation. Educated in London, Sergio holds a degree in International Business and a master’s in Finance and Strategy from the esteemed Cass Business School. He continues to be actively involved in academia and is currently engrossed in his doctoral research.
